Privacy Policy for our Products and Services

As the data controller, Silver technologies, Avenija Dubrovnik 15, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, info@silvermonitor.care (hereinafter SILVER MONITOR), is committed to paying the utmost attention to the security and protection of your privacy. SILVER MONITOR processes your personal data by applicable privacy laws in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter GDPR) and the Law on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process your data when you use our website, products, and services. Our products and services include a web app and a smartwatch. They gather, store, and analyze data to offer insights and services aimed at improving your health and safety.

 

What information do we collect, and when?

Here we specify whose and which personal data we process, for what purposes, and the retention period.

Website visitors

When you’re on our website, we use essential technical cookies to keep your session active. If you leave a message on our Contacts page, we need your email address to reply to your comment, suggestion, or question. You can also optionally provide your first and last name. Once the communication is over, all data is securely deleted.

 

Registration, ordering, and payment

To order our products and services online, you must register first. This requires providing your first name, last name, email address, and choosing a username. For billing and delivery, we need detailed information such as your name, address, phone number, and email. If you opt for a different delivery address, we collect the same details except for the email. Payment methods redirect you to secure gateways like Stripe, PayPal, Google, or Apple Pay; we don’t access your payment details except for payment confirmation. Bank transfer details are stored as required by law. If you choose cash on delivery, our delivery partner handles your data independently for delivery and payment. Details are deleted after 6 months of inactivity. Please note, that we’re not responsible for our partners’ data processing.

Account activation and system usage

mail. We’ll email you your username, initial password, and a link to the web app. Your Smartwatch’s IMEI number will be linked to your account. To activate and use your account, you must provide your name, surname, and address as per our General Terms of Use. We also store your email and phone number for communication purposes such as challenges, maintenance, and occasional updates about our products and services as outlined in the contract. Additionally, you’ll need to input data like date of birth, gender, diagnosis, therapy details, and a mobile number for receiving SMS alerts regarding abnormal indicators collected by the watch.

When using the system, data from the Smartwatch like blood pressure, heart rate, steps, blood oxygen, temperature, and battery status is automatically recorded and sent to the system. This data shows current and past values for trend tracking and history. If the user triggers an SOS alarm, the system collects GPS data from the Smartwatch, displaying it and sending an SMS notification to the designated contact number. GPS data is available for 24 hours after the alarm is activated.

Premium service – With the Premium service, if a geofence is breached, the system activates an alarm, gathers GPS data from the Smartwatch, displays it, and sends an SMS alert to the designated phone number. Alarm and GPS data are stored for up to 12 months from activation to address requests, complaints, or legal matters. All data is processed only for providing the service and is deleted securely after the agreement ends. User location data is only processed during alarm triggers.

Authorized user

Authorized users purchase products and services using the same personal data, adding the business entity’s name. As independent data controllers for their users, they process this data within the system.

Customer support

When you reach out to our customer support, we note your contact details and the nature of your query. We keep this information until your concern is resolved or for a maximum of 6 months, after which it’s securely erased.

 

Do we share your data?

Your personal data is safeguarded and not shared, exchanged, or disclosed to third parties, except for delivery details shared with our delivery partner, who operates independently. Trusted domestic and international partners securely access your data to assist in application and system development, hosting, providing access, and accounting tasks. They’re bound by strict confidentiality agreements, accessing data only when necessary, and processing it in compliance with GDPR as per our data protection agreement.

In the event of investigations or requests from authorities, we may be legally obligated to grant access to your personal data.

 

How do we protect your data?

We prioritize the security of your personal data, which is integral to how we develop and deliver our products and services. Access to our websites and systems, including the Smartwatch and our partners, is encrypted. When collecting your information, we ensure protection against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure, or access. This is achieved through professional, technical, and organizational measures. Our entire system is hosted on the cloud infrastructure of a leading global provider, with data redundantly stored in multiple centers within the European Economic Area (EEA). Access to our database is strictly limited to authorized personnel and partners, ensuring only those with a genuine need can access personal data for maintenance or support purposes.

 

What are your rights?

At any time, you can request that we fulfill your rights as prescribed by the GDPR, applied to our system and the processing of personal data:

• Right to access your personal data,

• Right to rectification of your personal data,

• Right to erasure of your personal data,

• Right to restriction of processing,

• Right to data portability, and

• Right to object.

Please note that if you are a service user, you can access your personal data through your user account.

If needed, you can also file a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, the competent supervisory authority in Croatia.

We reserve the right to change this Policy with or without notice. We will regularly update and adjust the Policy to reflect changes in our system and primarily to inform you, our users, about any changes in the purposes and methods of processing.
